From Shane Haven to all the readers, I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas or whatever holiday your celebrate. I am really excited in an odd way. This year it isn’t so much about the presents or being with my family, it seems to be more of the Laker / Celtic game that is going to be on at 2 p.m. on the west coast. I really hope it is a good game, and the Lakers can pull one out. They will have to step up if that want to be successful. The rivalry is renewed so hopefully they will not have a problem. Besides the leprechauns are due for a loss (they have won a record 19 straight).

Today at 1:30 Pacific Time Obama will be releasing a report on his talkings with the troubled Illnois Governor Rod Blagojevich. Although Obama isn’t going to be saying anything publically, it is just a report, it will be interesting to see just what Obama had to say to the governor. There is bound to be plenty of insight from the major news channels tonight. I’ll weigh in tomorrow after reviewing what was released in the report.

I have to admit, I am getting tired of people nitpicking on the losers of the election. It is over, time for media to move onto other items. With that said, let me be a hypocrite.  According to CNN Politics, Sarah Palinwanted more interviews. Palin stated that she didn’t have control over the interviews she did, and that she wouldn’t have chosen the ones that she did. I am sorry, Mrs. Palin, but if you would have gotten more interviews more people probably would have voted Obama. Most people have seen the interviews with Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson, and the horrible job she had did in those interviews. She seemed fairly clueless about different items. Even after the campaign people have criticised her for the interviews. This is due to the odd circumstances that surrounded the interviews. She has become the Howard Dean of the Republican Party.  Maybe she should have had control over her interviews, she could have done better, but the bottom line is she didn’t. More interviews most likely wouldn’t have helped and it may have placed her under more scrutiny.

I am pleased today, as I learned they are going to make sequels to two of my favorite games for the original xbox. Only the sequels will be on the 360. Both games were really underrated in their time. Mafia received a Gamespot score of 7.1 which I think it was quite unfair. In an era of games generally having quite a low replay quality, I rented the game multiple times and played through it multiple times. Same can be said for the Godfather game. Godfather did get a much better score for a game that was just as good, however it had a more popular following due to the famous films. Either way you cut it, they both were great games that I played through many times on each account. Now I learned that Mafia II and Godfather II will both be released for the Xbox360 at some point. Both release dates are listed as “to be announced.” If you take a look at the trailers it states that Mafia II is due out in Fall of 09. You can also view the Mafia II trailer here. On the Godfather II trailer at the end it states that it will be out in Feburary 2009. You should also view the Godfather II Trailer here. I am just so stoked. This really made my day. I can’t wait to driving around in some really cool old cars and playing as a REAL gangster. Ok I know it is virtual but gangs today don’t have the same respect as these older ones did. That is the point i am trying to make it.

Not going to say too much on the issue. Blagojevich is clearly a corrupt politician that deserves any punishment that comes his way. Oh, and trust me, it will come. They have enough wire tapped evidence to suspect that the Patriot Act was only used on the Illonois Governor – of course I am joking about the Patriot Act. He’ll get his due. I am glad to hear Obama, and his cabinet was cleared of any wrong doing. It would have been horrible for the ‘hope’ to save the United States would have fallen so early into scandal and earning distrust among those many who voted for him. This is all according to Yahoo News.

I am also happy they did an investigation. By the manner of people I have talked to, listened to on certain radio stations, and other forms of contact, they think Obama could do no wrong. I seriously started to believe that he could murder someone and he would get away with it based on the belief of others thinking he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. If it were Bush in Obama’s shoes, everyone would think he was regardless of what the probe/investigation would say just because he is Republican. I am glad the government is fair in investigation no matter how well liked anyone is. Don’t get me wrong, I too thought he had no connection to the scandal, and I didn’t want him to be either.
