With all these debates and talks among the democratic party’s candidates, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have been ripping each other part. With every debate, with every shot they the two take at each other, they divide the party more and more. They hate the other candidate so much that they will not vote for the other candidate. They would rather vote for John McCain unless he were to say or do something really horrible … And that is exactly what McCain knows and is reacting to. He is relatively keeping his mouth shut. He is meeting with the people that he has to meet with like military commanders and other people in high “knowing” places with excellent information. McCain is learning and gearing up for the real election. Whomever he faces, McCain is going to have the upside, the greater knowledge, on than the eventual Democratic candidate. He doesn’t even want to bring attention to himself. He refuses to talk about who he wants as his VP. He only makes enough noise to let people know that he is still alive. Good job McCain you are demonstrating that you have the smarts so far in this campaign. He’ll know when to talk, this just isn’t the time.
The V-22 Osprey is quite an aircraft. It is a combination of both helicopter and airplane. Now it has been associated in the media with death especially as it has started to be used in our current wars. But all technology has bumps and bruises along the way. Think of the potential that these V-22 aircrafts have. They can replace the old CH-46 Sea Knight Helicopters as the main transports in our troops in Iraq and Afghanastan. It is better though because it can move faster than when it is in airplane mode than the fastest helicopter can. It can also fly higher than many aircraft. This is a quick way to get troops from a certain point to another and could really improve the tactics that the marines use right now. The only thing I really do not like about it is that the V-22 only has a firing capacity in the tail of the aircraft on the ramp where the soldiers board or un-board the aircraft. They need to mount at least one machine gun on the front to allow the aircraft to be able to provide more cover fire for the troops they transport. Maybe in the future they could design a attack helicopter with the maneuverability to get out quick when in the Plane mode as well. In the same breath it isn’t a good thing that all the people died along the way in the development of the aircraft. But the media give so much negative attention to an aircraft which could save lives and harm those of our enemy. I just wanted to shed some small positive light on the subject.

Random Thoughts on the Democratic Debate (4.16.08)

I missed the first hour or so, as I was so involved in Physics homework that I lost track of about seven hours of time. So how does this work? As the candidates say things and I find them strikingly interesting, I will paraphrase what they say and put my thoughts down. They are catagorized under comments by Clinton and then Obama. Some comments filed under say Obama for example might have a little bit of Clinton as well. It, like me, is not perfect. Get over it.
CLINTON
Clinton stated she would remove the U.S. Troops from Iraq within sixty days of her taking office. She states it is because she is tired of seeing our men and women dying there while Iraq sits idly doing nothing. By removing our troops they will be forced to and take control of their own country. My Response:That isn’t going to happen. If Iraq can’t get it together with the help of the best troops around the world then you think they are going to with untrained personnel without the help of the U.S. Some whack job is going to become the next Saddam Huessein if we take that route.
Clinton also stated that if Iran got Nukes, which she wants to prevent, and Iran were to use them on Israel or any other country, the US would respond with “massive retaliation.” She also states that she wouldn’t allow, at first anyway, to directly talk to the President of Iran. My response: I wonder what Massive Retaliation means? Sounds like she is willing to attack them on a moments notice. I like that. What I don’t like is she is waiting for Iran to use a nuke before she would be willing to attack. If they have the Intel that Iran is close to using the nukes why don’t we preemptively attack to prevent such a horrible event? Also if she doesn’t talk to President of Iran and she uses a bureaucrat to talk, you really think he is going to listen to the bureaucrat? He wouldn’t listen to Clinton anyway as she is a women and because of that she, in the middle eastern mind, is inferior.
Clinton wants to investigate gas prices to see what is going on. Then possibly taxing it or something like that. It didn’t make much sense to me. My response: I liked the fact that she wanted to investigate it.
Clinton wants to use former Presidents to help out. But laughs at Bush as it would take some “careful thought” as to how she would use him. My response: I do like this idea. No one person has the best ideas all the time. That means that she would use people from both sides of the party which I like. But I don’t know why she had to make it a joke out of Bush … Obama didn’t and that is more respectful.
OBAMA
Obama wants for the government to be able to pull away our own amendments if the state chooses so. Speaking specifically of the 2nd Amendment or the right to bear arms. My Response: That is our right given to us by our country. That means a RIGHT. No one, not even our Government, should have the ability to take it away. It is a right something we ALL are allowed to have. It was on the premise that if you take the Guns off the streets it would take them out of the hands of the bad guys. But it doesn’t. Does the bad guy get his gun legally? No! This would be taking the Guns out of the hands of the innocents, the ones that in a sense would be the Cops allies. Clinton wanted to give it more like city control, not as bad, but my same point stands.
Damn, Obama’s ears are huge. I didn’t notice that before … but his ears are fairly big.
Obama wants to spend 150 billion on creating a new type of energy for cars. My response: That would be nice but that is a lot of money. He complains about war in iraq and the money there where we are trying to help people out to live better lives that are not oppressed and being relatively safe. He doesn’t want to spend money on that but on gas yes. Sounds sorta selfish and hypocritically.

Besides being an annoying hitler-esque deuschebag he is taking too many unnecessary shots at Hilary Clinton. Not that I am trying to point Mrs. Clinton in a positive light, but one of Obama’s recent shots was at Hilary for enjoying her time at a local pizza restaurant in northwest Indiana on Saturday night. She decided to have Pizza, a shot of Whiskey, and a Beer. If anything this really should be shown in a positive light for her campaign for the republican vote, as she isn’t the Cylon Robot we all thought she was, but instead human. Wait I think I just insulted the Cylon Robot race on Battlestar Galactica. Ok nerd moment over. Most people, not all of course, have a drink from time to time. It is only when one drinks all the time that it becomes serious and a problem. Obama stated the following according to talkleft.com: “Around election time, the candidates can’t do enough. They’ll promise you anything, give you a long list of proposals and even come around, with TV crews in tow, to throw back a shot and a beer,” Obama said, stirring laughter from an audience of steelworkers and steel industry executives.” Come on now Obama, although the masses that support you, don’t even though they don’t even know what you stand for, but you used Marjuana (click here for the youtube video, and go to about the 0:55 mark). That is ten times lower and more disrespectful as a person than having a drink or two from time to time? I mean what is Obama saying, that when times get tough in the White House whether it be a disaster due to terrorists (God lets hope not), or it be some problem, what is he not going to have some sort of alcoholic beverage to calm his nerves down a little? Obama needs to take a seat because although I have no respect for him, other than the fact that he can speak to the public well, he just needs to shut up on this.
There are times and places where it is respectable to be quiet, where one shouldn’t talk. Some of these examples can be seen in a library, a mortuary, and of course at a book store and a computer lab. Wait a minute, the latter of those two examples don’t make much sense. Why is it that in bookstores one is expected to be quiet? It is quite absurd it is a store. People purchase books in a bookstore such as Barnes and Nobles or Borders. But yet the people in them is almost expected to be quiet. The people who buy the books really are not supposed to not read them and just sit there and read them like a library. People are not supposed to be reading so much to where people are nearly demanded to be quiet. It isn’t that big of a deal. Same with the computer lab at my school. I was there with a friend and we were working on homework of different sorts. We did have an assignment from a class that we both had to do and were going to talk anyway but we were talking about Psychology. Then some dude comes over and says if we are not quiet that he will kick us out of the computer lab because the lab is for doing work not socializing. Well to Mr. Jackass, we were doing work. Computer labs in my experience are loud places, people do work and talk as well. It is a more relaxed environment. But no I suppose it isn’t anymore. They want to silence you, they want to make sure the government or people in authoritarian positions can take away the first amendment and it isn’t cool. Maybe one day they will learn that people need to talk as that is a large part of how society moves along and evolves. I know this is a minor series of problems compared to the censorship going on in the world of TV and Radio but the point is that it is happening at even smaller levels. Maybe one day people will be so quiet because they are forced to, that they won’t know what to say when they realize the people of the United States have no right to say what is on their mind or even have the freedom to say things when they want to
