I have to admit, I didn’t watch the Debate between Hillary and Obama today. In fact, I didn’t know there was even a debate. But that is due to my long hours of schooling. But to my point, I saw the “highlights” of the debate, or in other words, Hillary slamming Obama about a Pillow and SNL. Something I really didn’t get as I don’t watch the show. I am assuming that it is a low blow attempt that was an attack on Obama. This isn’t exclusive to the Democrats either. It was one of the biggest criticisms I had about the guy I voted for in the Primary, Mitt Romney. All he was about is attack attack attack. It was something I had praised Mike Huckabee about with his anti-attack ad campaign, although I thought he wasn’t the right candidate for the Republican Party. Respect among other parties, among the same party, and among people in general has gone out the window like a CD Player. This is one thing about politics that I just can’t stand, as well as maybe as this nation is as a whole.

Where has respect gone in society besides down the drain? Through history, it appears it is a thing that our beautiful nation used to endorse and practice. Most of the time when one will get into a political argument, whether it is the slight differences between two conservatives, or the major differences between a Liberal Democrat and a Conservative Republican, respect has indeed gone out the window about fifty years ago. I think I was born in the wrong era, as it greatly displeases me when people make disrespectful remarks, especially when they are in the same party. People may disgaree, that is awesome, in fact the nation is built on having the right to do so. But does that really give one the right to be disrespectful? Yeah it may give you headlines, but in my eyes and in hopefully others as well, it is disgraceful. Everyone loses their cool at times, but to berate people on live television as Mrs. Clinton did tonight via the highlights I saw is wrong. When will politicians change their ways? I want to see a candidate who goes up there and can have a respectful debate even if they are worlds apart. It can be done, I know so from experience. I have debate many a people in my time. I probably never let on just how Conservative I am due to the fear of my friends thinking I am some nut job and I hold back. Still we debate, I just hold back a little, and we can have a respectful conversation among issues such as the 2nd Amendment to the conspiracy that some think 9/11 was. No one is perfect, and I am sure everyone has their bouts with a lack of respect, yes, even including me. Still my point remains, people please, don’t be a mean disrespectful person to your peers. I know for a fact it can be done.

I for one choose carefully who I do debate. I need to feel comfortable debating for a reason. Too many arguments, or debates rather, have gone south because of disrespect. There have been people who I debate and our views are different. Example one we shall call X. X and I have very much apposing views, X supports Hillary and I supported Romney. The thing is, we can talk at any time, X doesn’t call me a right wing nut job or a redneck. I might joke about it myself to make light of a situation but that is my choosing, X has never made me feel comfortable in these situations. Now others might be a total jerk. We’ll call example number two, M, and M is a very disrespectful person. M, feels it is necessary to be a person who delves into personal attacks instead of attacking the issue. I for one have been called nearly every right wing based slur in the book by M. This happened until I labeled him an “unreasonable Democrat,” and stopped debating the person. And no, that wasn’t an attack on the Democrats, there are “unreasonable Republicans” as well. Maybe I am making this a bit too complicated.

In short, people can get a lot accomplished if they try to work together respectfully. Maybe that is the problem with current day politics, instead of trying to work together to get things done they would rather accuse each other, rather berate each other, rather disrespect each other into oblivion to where neither side is willing to do anything. Who will break the trend? Who will take up arms in this battle by putting them down and offering a handshake? Will anyone ever break the trend? Doubtful, but if I were a politician I would operate in such a way that I, and others, would deem acceptable as well as respectful. Too bad I don’t want to go into that field. I would bring a revolution to the political field in this sense. One can only hope, that one day, politics can still be helpful, but as well as respectable.

It is true that I do not like Barack Obama for his positions on the major issues facing this beautiful nation. I for one think he is charismatic and is definitely  has a good “character” for the White House. He preaches changes for America and it has people listening, and yes, even fainting at his Campaign Sites! Before two weeks ago, the nation was stirring, pondering if you will, how the Republicans would beat the soon to be Democratic Nominee for President, Hillary Clinton. Like many things in life, elections can change quickly as it has here.  Obama has won eleven straight victories over Clinton. Even for a Conservative-Republican based blog, that has to get some attention. They called McCain the come back kid, looks like that title might be shared among both parties this year. It isn’t like that Obama would be getting the same attention if he were winning the primary over Clinton, but he was losing. Now many media types, have been saying the primary is over, Obama is going to win, but that is far from the truth. They have two big primaries that will really decide the fate of the two politicians, Texas and Ohio, whose primary elections are both on March 4th. For the Democrats, they will have a second Super Tuesday event and if one of those candidates can win out on both primaries then the election is more or less over. It is apparent that Obama is wining over people as the times go on. As of right now Obama leads in delegates with 1,351 to Clinton’s 1,262.

Lastly, on that fainting issue, this has got to be false. I could see one or two instances on a hot day, but it has happened at least six times, according to this Youtube Video. He is really reaching with this tactic, but it has accomplished his goal. It has people talking more and more about him.

I for one like music, but I have come to a realization. This is, that music is getting worse as the years progress. Know I was born in the mid 80’s and I grew up listening to 60’s rock until about high school where I divulged in the likes of Rap and Metal, then eventually just Alternative Metal and Hard Rock. But even those genre’s seem to be producing less and less good sounding music. Many things seem emo, which I suppose if you are emo, is a good thing. I am far from emo, and it takes me a long time to be able to purchase 15 to 20 songs on iTunes to make a playlist and CD for my vehicle to listen to. Now it could just be my tastes but it is frustrating none the less. The 60’s had great rock as well as diversity. They had everything from the likes of Mo Town to Psychedelic. The 70’s were ok, the 80’s barley ok, but a little weird to be honest, and then the 90’s were amazing! The 2000’s started out great with the likes of Linkin Park, Disturbed, etc., but then after those first few years and especially that last couple years, things have got mundane. Music just doesn’t sound good anymore and one can only listen to the same older songs over and over and over before they get tired of the song. What is the world coming to?! Whose with me on this?

I know exactly what you are thinking right now. “Wait, he never stepped down before this, so how could it be again?” Well, allow me to show you!

The first time Castro stepped down:

Unfortunately this isn’t going to be a big historical event for the world, much less Cuba. Fidel’s brother is likely to take over and to continue Fidel’s reign, more or less.

Iran’s leaders have spoken before about wanting to exterminate Jews and Israel itself. Again, they are speaking about it. Only this time it is coming from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Commander Muhammad Ali Jafari in a letter written to the Hizbullah leader according to the Jerusalem Post.

I really do not understand how people can continue to sit idly and allow Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and their followers to continue to talk about wiping out an entire civilization. He really wants to wipe out Israel and its people. This is totally Hitler-esque. Whether it is the United States job to go in and solve this situation militarily or diplomatically is still up for debate. But at some point, Ahmadinejad is going to do something about all this talk. He is a nut job and something needs to be done about it before he takes out Israel. I mean we are talking about Genocide of the Jewish people here. Someone is going to have to stand up and say enough! Hasn’t WWII taught us anything? If you sit and wait instead of speaking up at the beginning, by the time you get the courage to do it, there will be no one left to stand by your side. I blogged earlier about Israel possibly doing something about it, and I for one don’t blame them if they follow through, except on the way they want to do it. Iran is scary and needs to be taken care of before Israel is gone.
